A Big Announcement!!!

As you may already know, PINK KISS is really about encouraging women's confidence and self-esteem.  From start to finish, an experience with us is all things fun. Whether we are joking around about bedroom antics that may, or may not, happen in all of our bedrooms or trying our hardest not make our clients laugh in the middle of a "sexy vixen" pose, there really is just a good feeling that comes from a PINK KISS evening. 

No tension.  All fun!

This positive feeling continues after the party too.  So many of our clients go on to send us emails about how happy they are that they "took the plunge" and had their pics done. 
Feeling beautiful is not about vanity.  It's about us women in this crazy society allowing ourselves to love and accept ourselves.  If you have peeked at our pics, the sexy poses are really just the surface.  The spirit of our PINK KISS ladies shines through in each portrait.  It is my goal to help women everywhere to accept and love themselves.  I truly feel that sometimes having that little boost of feeling good about yourself can help you get through hardship and struggles.

With that said, I would like to announce our new monthly give-a-way:
 The PINK KISS Pin-Up!!!!

Throughout the month of May,and each month afterwards, we will be asking for nominations of a lady who you think could really benefit from time with us.  Tell us the reasons that makes this lady so special to you and why you think she would benefit from this experience.  Post your nominations on our charity page on facebook https://www.facebook.com/PinkKissPinUp and encourage others to do the same. 
Our PINK KISS Pin-Up of the month will be decided by the number of "likes" under their story at midnight on the last day of the month.
The special lady will receive a full boudoir photography session with us, including full professionally done hair and make up.....all for free.
Pretty exciting, isn't it?!?!?!

Beautiful People

So, let me tell you a little about me.

On the surface I have probably come across as a very confident person.  I have a distinct style, wacky sense of humour and a really firm stance on things that I like and those that I don't.  I am not shy.  I can walk up to anyone and start a conversation.  Oh, and I'm usually dressed in some crazy stilettos!
All of elements of a confident woman, right?
Well, maybe.
On the other hand, until recently I have never really actually FELT confident. Without actually FEELING confident on the inside, I was left instead feeling really insecure.  Maybe the reason that I have some of my other overt attributes that I have was to protect my poor insecure self.  If I appeared confident the judging and rudeness from others wouldn't hurt.
But, as I approach my 40's, I didn't want to feel like this anymore.  So that got me thinking about why I didn't feel good about myself on the inside.  The answer: because I was leaving my opinion of myself and my opportunity for confidence in the hands of others....
...and there always will be people who try to bring you down and leave your confidence in ruins. 

Want to know a secret? 
There is not a single person in the whole entire world that owns that right.  It is with your gifting to them that they acquire the opportunity to play with your confidence.
Once I realised this secret, my level of confidence changed. 
People may continue to judge me, but I don't really give a flying hoot!
My liking myself and confidence is like fitness, something that doesn't just happen.  I have to stay dedicated and work on it everyday.  But, also like fitness, the results are worth it every minute of everyday!

Pay it Forward

Recently, I had the opportunity to reach out to a very special lady that I met way back in my high school days. 
Here is a message that I received from her, after I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph her:

After 15 + years of bad relationship choices my self esteem lay in ruins. Add to that the death of my beautiful baby boy... I didn't feel I had much "beauty" staring me back in the mirror... And while I still have some work to do on rebuilding my self esteem, my Pink Kiss session had me saying "is that really me"? I have never EVER felt more beautiful!! EVERY woman should do this for herself!! I know many woman do these photos for their spouses... But truly you need to consider the value this experience can bring to you as a woman... Putting it as Pink Kiss founder & owner does "Seeing yourself not for what you want to change but only for how beautiful you are"

"Pay it forward" is so much a part of PINK KISS.  It is my absolute pleasure to help women see themselves for the beautiful people that they truly are.  I love nothing more than to capture the spirit in the eyes of my clients, and to give these ladies photographs that can look at each morning and think "Wow, I really truly rock!!!!" as they start their day!

A big welcome back to me to these freezing cold temperatures!  Yikes, it's cold here!
But that's ok, because I had the hottest images ever to edit when I got home! :)

April is going to be a very a very busy month filled with parties all over Ontario!  I also can't wait for April 21st for our GI Jane event.  It should be a blast! :P  There are still a few spots left, if you were hoping to be a part.

Before my vacay, we had chance to debut our PINK KISS Boutique.  The response was overwhelming!!!!  We had ladies so overwhelmed with their decisions of what to buy.  The price points and selection is second to none!  We are even thinking about expanding our catalogue already!  We heard from so many of the ladies at the party "I can't buy everything that I want tonight.  Is there any way I can buy these things online?"  And our answer......YES!!!!!  Well, as soon as I get the Cancun air out of my head and get to work!  Look for our launch within the next week or so. :)

A Great Way to Start Monday!

Ugh!  What a cold cold morning!  I feel wimpy saying this since our winter has been so mild, but I am officially over winter!  Bring on Spring....and the muddy boots and paws! (I may und up regreting that statmnent!)

But, despite the sub zero temperatures, I was warmed up this morning when I received a wonderful email.  I thought that I would take a second and share it with you:

"I wanted to say thank you so much for the amazing photographs that you took of me. It was a very empowering and fun experience and my husband and I both just loooooooove the photos. We are planning to sit down sometime this week to determine our top picks.

Maryann - you are a great photographer and you have a gift for making woman feel beautiful!!!!!"

I cannot describe how much emails like this mean to me!  It is just wonderful to be a part of something that is such a feel good experience for everyone!

BIG Changes!

It's been sooo long since I sat down to blog, but for very good reason!
Things are really growing with PINK KISS!  We are booking now into late June with only 1 or 2 opportunities to schedule a party between now and then.
PINK KISS profile pics are showing up every where on facebook!  It is really a huge compliment for us to see how much our clients love their images!  With that said, we are also getting requests for individual photo sessions which has inspired us to start working on our studio.  Ask me how much I am going to love that!!!!  It will be funky and opulent to say the least!
On the other side of things, we are pleased and excited to offer now our own exclusive product line!!!  You will find many sensual items, many that can't be found else where, at fabulous prices!  It has been our goal to offer exceptionally high quality products and very reasonable prices, and we feel that we have done that!  We have focused on many natural and organic items, with really indulgent packaging, flavours and scents.
We are also excited to launch our PINK KISS Fantasy Nights!  Each one of these nights will feature a different theme for our images.  Of course, like the rest of PINK KISS, you can expect for these Fantasy Nights to be well executed with realistic props and high quality costuming.

"It's Not About What You See in the Mirror"

Once again yesterday my bedroom was filled with a bunch of nervous women scantily dressed and waiting for their turn in front of the camera.  The coolest part about it was that each person, not just my beautiful models, were there to help me out. ME!!!....well, and PINK KISS!  My website is blank and it's hard to convey the idea of PINK KISS to people when they have nothing to look at! 
So there we all are, nervous as can be (yes, even me!), and the shooting begins....

...and once again the room is transformed.  The energy changes and women who normally would not be caught in lingerie (even in front of their husbands) are filled with feelings of confidence and beauty. 

The memory card filled up and one by one all of the models had their pictures done as the others watched and supported.  The women dressed and left.  The lights came down, the gear was packed up and the experience ended.

Or did it?

This morning I awoke to message after message from my wonderful friends thanking me for the experience.  Thanking me!!!  They were the ones helping me out!  The messages were thanking me for the chance that they had to express the beauty they feel inside.  It gives me goosebumps every time someone tells me that they have never liked having their picture taken, or have never felt beautiful, or have felt lost under all of their other titles of Mom and Wife and Domestic Manager (that's what I call myself. LOL!) and that they feel changed after PINK KISS. It's so important to have that opportunity.

Even though we shoot boudoir which involves being less dressed than other types of portraits, PINK KISS is really about revealing the spirit of women. 

"It's not about what you see in the mirror.  It's about what you feel in your heart."

Over the next few days pinkkiss.ca will have pictures once again and these women will have seen their pics.
I can't wait to share it with all of you!
